1. What is added to make the wood briquettes?

No additives, the natural lignin in the wood and the hydraulic force forms the briquettes.

2. How hot are the wood briquettes when they are made?

Briquettes are typically only 15 degrees warmer than the ambient temperature. Briquettes can be picked up by hand immediately after they come out of the press.

3. Why briquette metal chips?

Briquettes add value to scrap chips because during the melting process they yield more metal than loose chips. Briquetting metal also allows for the reclamation of valuable coolant, reduces floor space storage requirements, handling and transportation costs.
